Photo ID Required at Branches

Your Photo ID Adds an Extra Layer of Security for Branch Transactions

The security of your Salal account and personal information is very important to us. That’s why we ask to see a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license, when you come into a branch to make a deposit, withdrawal, or any other transaction. It’s an extra layer of security to ensure that only you can access your account.

Why is it important that we verify your identity?

Unfortunately, fraud and identity theft continue to be a growing problem for Americans and people around the globe. In 2021, Americans filed 5.7 million reports of identity theft and fraud. That’s a million more fraud reports than in 2020 (which itself was a record setting year for fraud). The message from these stats is clear—we all need to work together to protect against identity theft.

If you have been the victim of identity theft, you can report it at IdentityTheft.gov.
