NW Harvest Food Drive March 16-27

Update 3/23/20: Due to the closure of all Salal branches in response to the COVID-19 public health crisis, we unfortunately can not take food or cash donations to Northwest Harvest at this time. Salal Credit Union will be making a $5000 donation to Northwest Harvest. We encourage everyone to make donations directly to Northwest Harvest.

We thank you for your generosity in this time of need.

Spring break is already a time of hunger for many children who come from economically challenged families who depend on school meals. And with the extended school closures due to the coronavirus, the need for donations at food banks around our region is even greater than usual.

To help address this need, Salal is partnering with Northwest Harvest to hold a food drive in our branches March 16-27. Northwest Harvest is a nonprofit food bank distributor operating statewide in Washington, with a network serving 375 food banks, meal programs, and high-need schools. Through this network, they provide more than 2 million meals every month to people in need in our communities.

To make a donation, just swing by any Salal branch and look for the white donation boxes. Monetary donations will also be accepted. Please see a Salal representative to donate funds. Salal Credit Union will match total monetary contributions up to $2,500.
